I am a first time home owner I bought this property last year November. It’s a fixer-up and only moved in Mid January 2021 as I made it in a livable condition.

It’s very unlikely to find your dream home in a small town but I saw potential in this property. My house is still a work in progress because I’m doing this project gradually. At this stage the bathroom is semi renovated and the kitchen is yet to be renovated.

The key selling points of this property was the good location, price, the huge plot and the solid build.

This house comprise of a sun room, living area, kitchen, three bedrooms and one bathroom. The property also has a garage and outer room which will be ideal for flats.

I however altered the layout as I repurposed spaces without making structural changes at this point but definitely in future! The sun room now serves as my home office and features a cozy reading nook. Bedroom 1 serves as my dinning room. Bedroom 2 is converted into my wardrobe. Bedroom 3 is my master bedroom. The lounge is at the original space as is the kitchen and bathroom. The room had carpet in which I removed which amounted to R1000 The entire house and ceilings were painted and it amounted to R2500.
