My Husband and I were blessed to find a home to buy in lock-down, June 2020. Our offer on this neglected cluster in Bedfordview was accepted July 2020, and we began the two month renovation project. We painted, removed unwanted fixtures, put in new bathroom cabinets and shower doors, and a new walk-in cupboard in the main bedroom. The largest renovation was the kitchen.
I have entered our kitchen in this years ‘Most Beautiful’ category. We designed our own kitchen and used what limited stock was available from suppliers as there was a shortage of certain items due to lock-down. Amazingly, we loved the result and we manage to renovate our galley kitchen to our satisfaction. We put in a new eye-level double oven as well as a new hob and new double door fridge. We replaced the double sink and tap in the scullery/laundry and we replaced the prep-sink and tap with a new black sink and black tap. We are so happy in our new home! It was so satisfying being able to turn this ugly frog of a house into a ‘Beautiful Princess.’
