In our journey of renovating our 1920s home, we were immediately captivated by its original charm – the ornate pressed ceilings, the timeless bay window, and the beautiful wooden floors. As graphic designers, we recognised the immense potential within these architectural elements and set out to transform this house into a unique venue for our own wedding and our forever home.
With a deep appreciation for the past, our ambitious renovation project focused on preserving the heritage while infusing modern elegance. While the entire house underwent a renovation, the most significant transformations took place in the kitchen, living room, and our main bedroom. In revitalising the interiors, our goal was to blend vintage aesthetics with contemporary touches, utilising a muted palette, rich textures, and carefully selected artworks. Through our dedication to preserving the house’s historical significance and adding personal touches, we have created a sanctuary that not only reflects our own love story but also celebrates the beauty of the past.
