When we bought our house, we knew we would have to renovate all of it. But since we are still busy with it, we would like to show you the biggest project of the renovations so far! My wife wanted the main bedroom and bathroom to be one big room. We started by first knocking down the wall between the bathroom and the bedroom. My eldest son helped too! It took us almost a year to complete this project! There were endless obstacles to make the job even harder. Hence the reason for the project taking so long. My Malawian friends did the brickwork where the windows were taken out and the plasterwork as well to help me cast the cement floor in the bathroom area. We had a tiler do the tile work because that is the only thing I cannot do when it comes to renovations. The plumbing, new lights, screed flooring and painting I did myself. My wife was the one behind the decor and colour scheme. This project took a long time, but we are so happy with the end result and proud of the hard work we put in!
