We have renovated our patio from top (rethatched the roof) to bottom (tiles) to a place where we can relax outdoors, enjoy our beautiful garden and entertain friends and family.
Welcome Home advised us on the look and feel as well as the layout. We kept the patio set but bought new cushions. We got rid of the rest of the stuff, including a steel cupboard and an old gym.
The roof was rethatched. The concrete floor was lifted and then tiled. A new open braai was built. New hanging lights and a granite countertop with two power points was installed, allowing me to serve coffee outside and keep food warm on my hot tray. Since the area was dark, the walls were painted white, and I used different greens for colour. The gas braai was kept but moved to a fixed position next to the countertop.
