The house was built in 1971 by my husband’s father and for 53 years everything remained the same.
We looked after his mother for 24 years after she had a stroke; she passed away in 2021 and he inherited the house.
We decided to leave some kind of ‘footprint’ of our own and one day our son will also have the opportunity to do the same.
It’s a beautiful old house with so much potential!
Out with the old. In with the new.
A lot had to be done: swimming pool, windows, floors, countertops, paint (inside/outside), plumbing etc.
We made use of contractors for the windows and granite countertop installation, but everything else was done by other private individuals and ourselves.
The project took us about four months to complete.
