Our bathroom was dark and cramped. We removed the black tiles because they made the bathroom too dark. The window was very small and did not let in any air or light, so it caused a lot of mildew. We installed a large window and broke down the shower wall and base. To create the illusion of more space, I retiled the walls with a light coloured tile. I also fitted a new smaller bathtub, because the old one was huge and wasted a lot of water. The old toilet also used too much water, so we installed a new environmentally-friendly toilet. We made the shower a walk-in one; it’s also wheelchair-friendly.
