Our aim for this project was to convert a cold, dark outbuilding into a cosy, light-filled cottage.

So far, we have converted the laundry room into a shower room with a basin and shelf, which required bashing a doorway through to the toilet.
We then closed the main entrance and turned it into an open cupboard with drawers.

We wanted the bedroom to feel cosy, so we chipped away at the plaster (with moments of regret) to reveal the brick.

Continuing with the cottage theme, we repurposed some Oregon pine for the beams, bathroom door and lintels and installed wooden window frames.

The floors throughout are Coprox to save on the cost (and arguments) of tile versus laminate flooring.

We would love the next stage to be the addition of a kitchen to complete the cosy cottage.
