I was so excited to buy this little old house. I saw great potential in converting the garage/outbuilding into two beautiful guest rooms.
The project included:
We built walls higher to create a more spacious and modern feel with exposed (DIY finished) beams (which look great against headboards made out of old pallet wood) and replaced the old roof. We backfilled the yard by 1.3m to ensure spectacular mountain views. We added patios, bathrooms and kitchenettes as well as a utility room to keep the solar/backup water/geyser systems neat, with some extra finishes throughout to bring the six-month project together. I hope you love the results as much as I do.
