My husband and I love doing renovations! It is our passion and has been our hobby since 2007. We have renovated many homes, flats etc., but this was our first renovation where we were also able to furnish as we are currently using it as a guest room/Airbnb.
We had an old stone garage that was the original garage on our property (about 75 years old). It was used for storage for about five years before we decided to renovate it…
It had a flat steel roof and old steel garage doors. We designed a completely new roof and kept the original stone with the original windows. We did not want to mess with the original and authentic stonework done so many years ago. We then custom designed and made folding doors for the original garage openings. The kitchenette was also custom designed and made. I spray-painted the stone walls lightly to give them a fresh and clean feel. We also added shutters to warm up the space. Please let me know if you need more details. Thank you for all the inspiration in your magazine. 😉
