Welcome to our entry for the renovation competition, where we present our vision for the complete overhaul of our lounge into a stunning, contemporary space. Our aim was to create an environment that combines functionality, aesthetic appeal, and a welcoming atmosphere. We transformed our lounge into a haven for relaxation, entertainment, and togetherness.

Concept and Design: Our renovation project encompassed a comprehensive transformation, including breaking down walls to create an open and spacious layout. By removing barriers, we aimed to enhance the flow of natural light and create a seamless connection between the lounge and adjoining areas, fostering a sense of openness and unity.

Colour Palette: To breathe new life into our lounge, we have chosen a modern colour palette (white and charcoal grey) that reflects sophistication and elegance. We applied a fresh coat of paint in neutral tones to provide a versatile backdrop that complements various design elements. This neutral base allows our carefully curated furniture and decor to take centre stage.

Furniture and Layout: With the walls demolished, we reconfigured the furniture layout to maximise space utilisation and functionality. A large, comfortable L-shaped sofa in a contemporary design served as the focal point, providing ample seating for family and guests. We paired it with a stylish coffee table featuring clean lines and orchids for a touch of elegance.

TV Unit Installation: Our lounge renovation featured a custom-designed TV unit that seamlessly blends style and practicality. The unit was crafted from high-quality materials, combining sleek finishes and clean lines. It housed our state-of-the-art smart TV, complemented by shelves to accommodate media devices and decor items. This TV unit not only elevated the visual appeal of our lounge but also optimised the viewing experience.

Electrical Lighting: To create a warm and inviting ambiance, we installed downlights strategically throughout the lounge. These modern and energy-efficient lighting fixtures provided ample illumination while maintaining a cosy atmosphere. By incorporating dimmer switches, we had the flexibility to adjust the lighting intensity to suit various moods and occasions.

Tiling: In our renovation project, we replaced the existing flooring with stylish and durable white porcelain tiles, creating a seamless flow throughout the lounge. These tiles added a touch of sophistication but also offered ease of maintenance, making them ideal for high-traffic areas.

Blinds: To control natural light and ensure privacy, we installed sleek and contemporary blinds on the windows. We selected blinds in a versatile fabric that complements our colour palette, allowing us to adjust the amount of light entering the room and creating an atmosphere of comfort and serenity.

Finishing Touches: To add personality and a touch of warmth, we incorporated carefully selected decor elements. This included a mix of artwork, decorative mirrors, and indoor plants to create visual interest and bring life to the space. Accent pillows provided texture and comfort, making the lounge a welcoming retreat.
