We purchased a plot & plan house directly from a developer so when we took occupation it was a blank canvas that we needed to put a lot of work into ourselves in order to complete and personalise. The entrance hall area included an open-plan office nook. The developer had tiled the entrance floor and painted the walls a light grey.
Firstly, we painted the walls of this area white, we installed solid oak flooring in the office with a dark Osmo stain & sealant. We then installed spruce acoustic timber panels on the ceiling and as a feature on the wall. Our carpenter installed a beautiful birch ply desk for my office, matching cupboards and a matching shoe cupboard in the entrance hall. Mr Granite installed a lovely piece of Easy Quartz for the entrance hall countertop and our electrician installed a stunning feature LED light in the entrance hall along with undercounter lights in my office. I then hit the Hertex annual sale for bargain fabric and made a simple Roman blind for the office. I also added gold door handles and other gold elements to my office.
