We purchased a plot & plan house directly from a developer so when we took occupation it was a blank canvas that we needed to put a lot of work into ourselves in order to complete and personalise. The house had an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area and an adjoining open-plan ‘spare’ space. We decided to turn this space into an area for the kids to enjoy. We installed oak flooring with an Osmo dark stain & seal to match the rest of our house. Our carpenter installed a large double linen cupboard and low cupboards in high gloss white with black handles to match our nearby open-plan kitchen. We added the spruce acoustic timber panels for behind the TV and some floating timber shelves. We then filled the lower cupboards with board games and TV games, added a comfy carpet and large bean bags, and the kids are now super happy with their space.
