When my husband and I purchased our house in 2022, the main bathroom had a separate toilet. Apart from the fact that the interior of these two rooms was outdated, the layout was also impractical, and the space was not optimally used. The doors of these two rooms were so close to each other, which made it difficult for someone to exit the bathroom while someone else was leaving the toilet at the same time.
In addition to the above, a hallway closet adjacent to the bathroom ‘stole’ a lot of space which could have been used to enlarge the bathroom instead.
We decided to remove the hallway closet, together with the wall between the main bathroom and the toilet, and finally created a much more spacious bathroom.
